Best Bridal Workouts

The big day is coming up and you still have a few lbs you want to drop. Here’s a list of some of the top workouts among brides to be to get you in shape in no time before you say “I do.”

Strapless gowns are always a popular option and a great way to show off those toned and sculpted arms! The solution? Bicep curls. Grab a lightweight set of dumbbells in each hand, stand with your feet shoulder width apart, palms facing up, and with a straight back lift up and down from the elbows for a set of 10, 3 times. No dumbbell? No problem! Try using water bottles. Just don’t drink them until you’re done with your workout! 😉

This next one, all you will need is a chair! With your back facing the chair, start in a seated position with your hands shoulder distance apart, begin to lift yourself up and down for some tricep dips. Aim for 3 sets of 10 again. Your back will thank you as you’re walking down the aisle 🙂

Don’t get rid of those dumbbells so fast! Another great way to use them are for some shoulder presses! With your feet shoulder width apart, keep your knees slightly bent, push both weights up above your head and only back down as far as your shoulders. Try for 3 sets of 15.

Now let’s gets down to that derrière. Squats have always proven to be tried and true. You may hate them now, but you’ll thank us later! They will tighten, tone, and make your entire lower half look amazing in that dress! Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, your knees slightly bent, then slowly lower your body into a seated position and back up again. For more of a challenge, hold those dumbbells in your hands! Do 3 sets of 15.

Another great exercise for those gluten and hamstrings are lunges. Starting in a standing position, take a step with one foot, bending both legs at a 90 degree angle. Push back up and bring both feet together. Repeat with the opposite leg. Shoot for 3 sets of 15. This next one is very popular in workouts such as yoga and Pilates. Plank. This will help tighten those abs. Start in a push-up position, with your hands directly under your shoulders. You can keep your feet shoulder width apart, or closer together, and just hold for a count of  60 seconds. Try to do this at least 3 times!

The best part about these are that you can do them at anytime, anywhere! Make those commercial breaks count while watching tv!
